Homeschool PE is a fun activity for homeschoolers to get active while also meeting other homeschool families.
Many places in Kansas City hold special homeschool events, like homeschool PE. So we gathered all the homeschool PE programs in Kansas City.

Homeschool PE & Physical Activities
Sky Zone Homeschool PE
When: 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month from 1 to 3 pm
Where: Lee’s Summit & Kansas City (Shawnee)
The Kansas City location & Sky Zone Lee’s Summit location offer special homeschooling times when school is in session. They do not offer it during school breaks. So, you may want to call ahead to check if they are holding it this week.
Come meet new homeschool families & bounce around together!
When: Every Tuesday from 1 to 3 pm
Where: KC North
Each week, KC Parks & Rec holds homeschool PE for children 5 to 14 years old to get exercise. This is an ongoing homeschool program, so you can drop in any week you’d like!
When: Every Thursday at 1 pm
Where: Independence, MO
Cost: $60 per month ($15/class)
Children will practice martial arts with other homeschool families during this special class. Call 816-878-5150 for more information about the class.
When: Mondays & Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:30 am
Where: Blue Springs, MO
Cost: Call for pricing. Have trial special.
They offer preschool and homeschool martial arts classes on Monday and Thursdays so you can come have fun with your little homeschoolers. Classes will teach students fleibility, coordination, control, discipline & other skills through martial arts practice. Call 816-229-7775 for more info.
When: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
Where: Blue Springs, MO
Cost: Price depends on homeschool program chosen.
There are multiple homeschool programs offered through Emerald City Gym. Most programs run from September through May, with the exception of Field Trip Fridays.
Tuesday & Thursdays are Lunch n’ Play from 11:30 am to 1 pm ($6 1st child, $4 each sibling), then Wednesdays are Home School Gym from 1 pm to 3 pm ($10 for 1st child, then $5 for each sibling). One Friday a month from 11:30 am to 3 pm are Field Trip Fridays. It’s $15 per child for 3 hours of fun activities for homeschoolers.
Different YMCA locations around the metro host Homeschool PE monthly. You can find specific dates for your area online.
There are also variety of sports your homeschoolers can participate in, including basketball, volleyball, flag football, baseball, gymnastics, dance, soccer & programs for young children (3-5 years old)
While these sports leagues are not specifically for homeschoolers, your children can interact with other children and make new friends!
Children from 4 to 17 years old can come to homeschool PE at Motus Ninja Warrior.
Many fitness activities and courses are included, with new courses each week! Children will work on balance, strengthening their bodies & more.
Sports Programs for Homeschoolers
Children can participate in soccer, flag football, volleyball, baseball, lacrosse & other sports for children of all different ages. While this is not a homeschool specific league, your children can make new friends, get active and interact with children their age.

Kids can play basketball or volleyball (girls) in a competitive league. Children from 12 years old through highschool can participate in the various leagues they offer.
If you are homeschooling a highschooler, this is a great opportunity for them to get involved in sports with others their age. Kids can compete against other public schools, private schools & athletic teams with the Metro Mavericks.
Music Homeschool Activities
If your homeschooler like music, check out this homeschool band! There are many opportunities available including concert band, marching band & beginning band. Children 10 & older can participate, so explore your options now!
This homeschool band, orchestra & jazz band is open to children ages 10 to 18 years old, with all skill levels! Band meets on Tuesdays and Orchestra meets on Thursdays. Cost varies depending on number of children and what program you choose.
This band gives music-loving children the opportunity to play together with other homeschoolers. There are live performance that kids participate in at the end of each season so they can show off their skills. Children can also meet other homeschoolers, have social time & have fun.
Educational Homeschool Activities & Field Trips

If your home school group looking for a unique field trip that is educational AND entertaining, ‘A Chakra Circus of Health’ is a field trip in Kansas City for children K-12th grade.

2nd Fridays from 1 to 2:30 pm
The 2nd Friday of every month, you can come explore the Kemper Museum with a docent who will lead you through the galleries, interactive exhibits & installations. The activities change each month, so you will never have the same experience twice!
These free educational activities are intended to supplement homeschooling – great for “field trips”. You can explore their other kid-friendly events & activities online.

Lee’s Summit, MO
There are multiple homeschool programs available to coincide with your homeschooling. Families can participate in faith-based activities include homeschool field trips, enrichment programs & academic programs. Programs are available for children in preschool through 9th grade.
Children from Kindergarden through high school are welcome to participate in their variety of programs. Once you join, you have access to all programs without any additional fees, so you can have flexibility in what to do with homeschoolers.
This is a faith-based enrichment program that provides classes in Spanish, PE, Art, Music, Science, Social Studies & more. Children 4 years old through high school can participate in their various programs – divided into different ages.
