Finding famers market in kc can be challenging. Depending on what you are looking for, this means different things to different people.

The kids enjoy free samples from local vendors. My husband loves buying fresh meat from the butchers. Since I am from Mexico, I love that I am able to purchase the ingredients to make homemade corn tortillas with garlic, onions, and cheese (similar to an empanada). I also go for the local fruits and vegetables we use to cook and bake.

Some shop local support the community.

Most importantly, though, we loved spending time together as a family. Local farmers markets give us the opportunity to explore the community with our kids and teach them the value our eating and shopping local.
