Winter Magic KC Drive Thru Holiday Lights Display
Looking for fun holiday things to do? There’s a new light show in town that’s exciting for all ages…
Winter Magic KC light show is somewhere that should be on your holiday to do list this year!
It’s the LONGEST animated light tunnel in the Midwest, so you don’t want to miss it.
What Did We Think?
Wow! Being invited to this spectacular light show in Swope park was just wow.
Which is exactly what my three-year-old daughter said the entire time we were there.
What makes winter magic so great aside from the lights is tuning into Christmas music on the radio while you drive through this experience.
It makes for a fun and safe event your family can enjoy together.
This Drive-Thru Christmas Lights Experience
OPEN EVERY NIGHT Nov 2, 2020 – Jan 2, 2021
See Ticket Calendar for Available Time Slots
* Closed during inclement weather.*
This event runs November 2nd thru January 2nd.
Santa Claus also greets you every Monday 6 – 8 pm, so do not forget to bring your Christmas letters to drop off! You can buy tickets PER CAR and proceeds benefit KC Parks Summer Camp Scholarship Fund.
The entire holiday light show is a mile long. You can enjoy the show from the safety of your car!
There are TONS of beautiful lights to see that will definitely get your family in the holiday spirit.
There are also options to purchase admission for multiple nights so you can visit more than once! …or bring friends.
Here is a description from the event organizers:
“Drive thru nearly one mile of the most amazing, mesmerizing, WINTERrifically magical holiday light experiences you’ve ever laid your gazers on,” according to the website.
You can, “see the elves work the toy factory, cruise through the longest light tunnel in the Midwest, be hypnotized by our spinning trees, rock the elf out in Pixel Town, and so much more. Elf buddies Peerpil and Alinor will be at the gate to greet you.”
Letters to Santa can be dropped off each night as well, so kids know Santa is receiving their letter! This drop off is every night at the Red Mailbox St. Nick left on the left of the driveway. However, the Santa Sightings are ONLY on Monday nights, so be sure to plan around that if you’re interested in meeting Santa Clause.
Santa Clause Sightings happen every Monday night from 6 pm to 8 pm. Since there will be distancing in place you cannot touch him, but Santa will be waving to all the families as you pass by.
** Open different hours each day, so check the Ticket Calendar for time specifics!
You can purchase a ticket per car, per limo, or per commercial bus depending on how many people you have and what type of vehicle you’re in.
We hope your family can enjoy this fun experience together!
