What’s Changing with Pokémon Go?

Temporary changes are being make to Pokémon Go so that you don’t have to leave your home to catch Pokémon.

While these changes are not permanent, they are already available on the game and will be for the foreseeable future.

According to an interview with Polygon the game developers will be focusing on “individual settings” in order to make it easier for players to enjoy the game indoors.

The developers will update the app to include the following changes:

  • Increase the frequency of gift droppings at pokéstops so players can find a higher frequency of gifts

When Will Updates Be Live?

These updates are already live within the game and will be around until further notice.

Niantic is using these updates as a way of promoting people staying in their homes while avoiding close contact with others.
