Santa Arrives at Crown Center

Friday, November 27th; 10:30 am

Crown Center

See Santa in his horse drawn carriage riding through Crown Center’s streets! He will end his parade at Gingerbread Station, the perfect place for pictures with Santa throughout the holiday season. 

Santa’s Arrival is FREE to everyone. 

Mondays at Winter Magic KC Drive-Thru Light Show

Open now through January 2nd (Santa ONLY there Mondays from 6-8 pm)

Swope Park: 7332 Oakwood Dr. Kansas City, MO 64132

You can drive through thousands of lights and the Midwest’s longest light tunnel to see Santa! You can wave to Santa as you drive by as well as drop off letters to Santa.

** Tickets are PER CAR, so you only have to buy 1 for the whole family.

Briarcliff Holiday Lighting Ceremony

OP Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Downtown Overland Park

Santa will be in attendance for the Christmas Tree Lighting event in Overland Park! Enjoy the lights come alive in downtown OP while you get in the holiday spirit. 

Everyone can come and enjoy this fun holiday activity for FREE! 

Northern Lights Holiday Lighting Ceremony 2020

Saturday, November 21st, 2020

6:00 to 8:00 pm

Zona Rosa: 8640 N Dixson Ave, Kansas City, Missouri 64153

Stop by Zona Rosa to see the 50 ft Christmas Tree be lit up with magic! It’s free to attend, but the photos with Santa will be drive by for 2020. You can see Santa as he arrives on his sleigh with Mrs. Claus too! 

This holiday event is FREE to all.

Holiday Luminary Walk

Friday, November 27 & Saturday, November 28; Friday, December 4 & Saturday, December 5; Friday, December 11 & Saturday, December 12, 2020

From 4:30 to 10:00 pm

Overland Park Arboretum: 8909 W 179th St. Bucyrus, KS 66013

This year there are additional time slots to allow for everyone to attend! You can walk the Arboretum trails, filled with holiday lights and candles. You will be able to stop be Santa at the Depot and ride horse-drawn carriages with your family! 

Christmas in the Courtyard

Friday, December 4th; 6:30 to 8:00 pm

Merriam Community Center: 6040 Slater Street Merriam, KS

This is an all-ages holiday event that celebrates the start of Christmas! It is the first annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Merriam Municipal Plaza. It is a new tradition in Merriam that’s FREE for all! 

The holiday lights will be turned on while Santa visits in his sleigh! So, come grab a picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus to get in the holiday spirit. 

Donuts with Santa

Saturday, December 5th; 6:30 to 8:00 pm

Merriam Community Center: 6040 Slater Street Merriam, KS

Kids will enjoy holiday crafts, story time, letter writing and pictures with Santa! This all ages holiday event will be in 2 sessions to allow enough room for everyone. The 9 am time will be filled first, then they will open the second time slot once it is full.

You MUST pre-register, so be sure to do it early! Kids are FREE with a paying adult. 

Hometown Holidays in Liberty

This year it will be a virtual event, but there will be a mailbox for you to drop letters off to Santa in downtown Liberty, MO!

Santa’s Wonderland at Bass Pro

November 7th through December 24th you can grab a free photo with Santa from Santa’s Wonderland!

While things will look a little different this year, they are still celebrating at Bass Pro. You MUST reserve your spot prior to attending, so make your free reservation

Visit Santa Claus for Free at Independence Center

Friday, November 27th to December 24th

This free Santa event will be fun for the whole family, but be sure to reserve your spot in advance to ensure there’s room for you! 

Santa’s Gingerbread Station

Friday, November 27th to Thursday, December 24th

While there won’t be a big arrival event this year, you can still visit Santa at Crown Center! You can meet Santa for free and take your own pictures, or pay for pictures from a professional photographer.

Visit Santa at Crestwood’s Gingerbread Lane Weekend

Thursday, December 3rd to Saturday December 5th

Santa will be there on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Thursday & Friday are evening events while Saturday is luncheon. Check it out now!

Drive Thru PJ Party

December 4th; 5:30 to 7:30 pm

This year Zona Rosa’s annual holiday kick-off will be a drive thru event! It is a FREE holiday event, but they are asking you bring a box mac & cheese as a donation for Feed Northland Kids.

Visit Santa near the Dillard’s parking lot where you can take pictures, eat cookies & milk and enjoy the holiday lights throughout the shopping center. 

Eat Chris Cakes for breakfast with Santa in Gardner, KS

Saturday, December 12th at 8:00 am

All you can eat pancakes are back! There will also be professional photos with Santa Claus you can have taken. You must bring cash to purchase the pictures or you can take your own Santa pictures.

** If you are eating breakfast, it is $5 per ticket, but pictures with Santa are free.

Sidewalk Santa at Leawood City Hall

Saturday, December 5th at 9:00 am to Noon

This is the 1st annual Sidewalk Santa event! You can wave to Santa from your car and receive a Santa letter to complete and a holiday gift bag with treats and arts & crafts. 

It will be $5 for Leawood residents & $7 for anyone else.  It’s limited to 250 people, so register early!

Cruise through the parking lot to see Santa this year! There will be yummy drinks, games and of course Santa. 

Santa Claus Pictures at Town Center Plaza

Saturday, November 21st – December 23rd at various times

Pictures with Santa sessions are scheduled in advance, lasting 3-5 minutes. No waiting in lines! They are in a new space next to Bravo! so you space out from other families. 

There will be a professional photographer on-site to take the pictures – it is not free.

Meet Santa at Zona Rosa

November 27th to December 24th

There are in-person Santa visits, as well as virtual experiences that use video conferencing to chat with Santa. You can choose the option you’d like when purchasing tickets. 

This is not a free holiday event. There is a $15 deposit due when you purchase the ticket. 

 

Mall Santa Claus Near Me

If you are looking for where to visit Santa in Kansas City, malls are always a great option. There are many around KC that host Santa Claus pictures through November & December.

Crown Center and Independence Center

Host Santa’s Arrival events. The Legends Outlets will have a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony & pictures with Santa.

Oak Park Mall features Santa’s Workshop

The OP Mall is opening their Santa station in November. There will be a professional photographer there to take your pictures, but these do cost money.

Zona Rosa’s Holiday Lighting Ceremony

In the Northland, will also host Santa Claus pictures during their Holiday Lighting Ceremony.

Ride with Santa on the Santa’s Express at National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame

** No info for 2020 yet. 

There will be a 1 mile race before the event, then after you can visit Santa Claus, ride the train & hay rides, enjoy hot chocolate & cookies and listen to live choirs!

While the event is still happening, Santa AND Buddy the Elf will NOT be at this fun Christmas celebration.

Photos with Santa with The Santa Experience 2019 in Kansas City

These pictures with Santa will include a professional photographer to take them! You can set an appointment for Santa Claus pictures, so you don’t have to wait in line.

There will also be many fun kids activities like decorating the Christmas tree, secret prizes, kids activities, playing in the snow & more – total of 15 things to do.

Come create a special Christmas plate AND meet Santa with hot cocoa & cookies!

There will be NO studio fee, but you will need to bring your own camera.

Santa’s Wonderland at Gillham Park

Friday, December 6th at 6:00 pm

Come enjoy a holiday show by the Starlight STARS of tomorrow, as well as Santa (arriving by carriage)! This is a free Christmas event where you can take a picture with Santa – you must bring your own camera.

Visit from St. Nicholas at Shoal Creek Living History

Saturday, December 7th, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Although he isn’t technically Santa, come introduce your kids to this less popular holiday figure. The living history museum will have holiday homes decorated, while villagers bring the scene to life. You can even purchase your holiday gifts at the Mercantile while you post your child’s letter to St. Nicholas!

Eat with Santa at the City of Leavenworth’s Breakfast with Santa

Saturday, December 7th at 8:00 am

Come take pictures with Santa & eat a yummy breakfast! There will also be a DJ, entertainment, dance groups & a martial arts show.

Santa Claus pictures will be $5 each. Check online for other pricing. Must buy tickets before Dec. 4th online, otherwise purchase at the door.

This free Christmas event allows you to skate with Santa! It will take place during a public skate session and also include a photo booth. Bring donations for Harvesters too!

Visit the museum for a fun-filled holiday afternoon!

Kids can enjoy activities, crafts and a hot cocoa bar. All things to do will be included in regular admission. Grab a Pogo Pass to get in free!
