Overland Park Arboretum’s Holiday Luminary Walk

Get in the holiday spirit at this 2 mile pathway illuminated with candles and holiday lights. There will be holiday scenes, fairy gardens and gnome settings throughout the park too!

The Holiday Luminary Walk is the perfect place to take family pictures for the holidays!

Kids can play in the children’s garden, as well as other fun holiday activities:

  • Musical Performances
  • Fairy & Gnome Scenes
  • Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides
  • Thousands of Lights & Candles

Candlelight Stroll (Adults Only)

Thursday, December 3rd, 2020 there will be a special holiday event – BRAND NEW!

This year is the first year there will be an additional night for adults-only. Candlelight Stroll will be for one night only, so you don’t want to miss this…

For date night or a friends night, this is the perfect opportunity! There will be wine & adult beverages you can purchase during the event to carry around.

When & Where:

Fridays and Saturdays from 4:30 to 10:00 pm your family can explore the Arboretum’s lit walkways. There will be tickets sold for different time slots, so you will need to choose a time to walk through. This is how they will control crowds during the event to ensure safety of everyone. You can find the dates below:

November 27th & 28th, December 4th & 5th, & December 11th & 12th

This holiday event will be at the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens: 8909 W. 179th St. Overland Park KS 66013

How Much Does it Cost?

If you have children 5 or younger, they’re admission is free. Anyone 6 or older must pay $14 per ticket.

Friends of the Arboretum can get discounts on tickets.

Volunteering

If you are interested in volunteering, you can sign-up as a family or individually. Group volunteering is also available.

You can volunteer to hang lights and decorate in November or volunteer on event nights.

There are 3 shifts available on event nights; an afternoon shift prior to the event & 2 shifts during the event. Morning shifts are also available the morning after events to pick up candles and replace them with new ones.

** Keep in mind, this year, your tickets will be for a SPECIFIC time to allow for safe environment. There will NOT be Santa or refreshments for 2020.
