The holidays are always spectacular around Kansas City. From lights and decor to Santa’s workshops and festive music, KC has some of the best Christmas towns around.
So load up the family and head out around town to visit one or all of these Christmas Towns around the metro. Some of these towns will even have things to do and see after Christmas as well.

Christmas Towns in Kansas:
Overland Park, KS
The Overland Park Arboretum hosts a yearly luminary walk that brings the holidays to life. Walk along lit paths and find your way to see Santa’s workshop, grab some hot cider, listen to music and more.

1. Belton, MO
Belton will be hosting a six week long Christmas extravaganza – Christmas on Main in Belton. There will be weekly events including gingerbread house competitions, outdoor movies on Candy Cane Lane, visits with Santa and more. You can find TONS of holiday things to do in Belton…
First two Fridays and Saturdays in December
The Belton, Grandview and Kansas City Railroad Co. is pleased to announce our 2021 Holiday Express, to run in conjunction with the Belton Christmas on Main festivities.
The Holiday Express will run the first two Fridays and Saturdays in December for a 45-minute, 5 mile round trip. The coach will be decorated for the season, and include holiday themed on-board activities such as music, trivia and an opportunity for the kids to write a letter to Santa.
We welcome you to join us; and also to visit the NEW Christmas on Main holiday light display.
Mary’s Mountain Cookies will be hosting a gingerbread making contest, so get your crafty friends and head over!

Bring your dogs, cats, or any animal for pictures with Santa Paws! ** $10 fee.
Friday, December 10th
Things are about to “Get Ugly”. Join us on December 10th for a Community Ugly Sweater Contest at Christmas on Main! Overall Ugliest Sweater Wins $50!

4. Springfield, MO
