Kansas City Renaissance Festival

August 31st through October 14th on Saturday and Sundays

Themed Weekends at Carolyn’s Country Cousins

Concordia Fall Festival

September 3rd to 7th – times vary by day. 

Downtown Concordia, MO

Welcome to the official website of the Concordia Fall Festival.

It started as a public Market Day in 1898, but the Concordia Fall Festival has since evolved into an exciting four-day, five-night celebration held the first week after Labor Day each September.

The festival, which has a different theme each year, draws thousands of spectators annually. Highlights of the week include the queen contest, three parades and a variety of exhibits, bake sales and contests for children and adults. Midland Empire Shows provides entertaining rides such as a carousel, Ferris wheel and giant slide.

Concordia‚Äôs heritage is put on display at the fair, when visitors can eat German-style food in the outdoor Heidelberg Gardens. Visitors also dance to live bands and browse the tables at a country store selling hand-crafted items. Hope to see you at the Concordia Fall Festival!

 

Belton Fall Festival

September 6th & 7th – times vary by day

Downtown Belton, MO

This fall festival is a tradition in Missouri. There will be vendor booths, activities, festival food & tons of family fun!

100+ artisans and other vendors will be there to explore, so there is tons to do. There will also be live music, so you can rock out with the kiddos.

 

Grain Valley Fair

September 6th & 7th – times vary by day

713 S. Main Street Grain Valley, MO

This weekend enjoy a carnival, kids activities, live music, arts & crafts vendors & tons of fair food!

Fireworks display will also be featured during the event, so be sure you don’t miss out. You can also compete in many different games & competitions throughout the weekend like, cornhole tournaments & cutest baby contests. 

 

Kansas City Chalk & Walk Festival 

September 7th & 8th (Sat: 11 am to 5 pm, Sun: 10 am to 3 pm)

Crown Center Square: Downtown Kansas City, MO

This free Fall festival includes street paintings throughout the event. Enjoy artists creating intricate art work with chalk on the pavement!

You can also enjoy street performers, kids activities, art workshops & other fun things to do. This is one of the top-rated festivals ever year, so you don’t want to miss it.

 

Westport Lost Arts Fair

September 7th & 8th (Sat: 9 am to 5 pm, Sun: 11 am to 4 pm)

This free event is during ArtWestport, so you can enjoy both festivals this weekend! 🐎Ride horse drawn carriage 🐎 from the Westport Lost Arts Fair to Art Westport for even more family fun!

Enjoy 30-40 artisans of lost crafts & skills practice right in front of you; Butter making, hand loom weaving, rope making, corset making, spinning wool, blacksmithing, clothing creations, cotton gin & tobacco curing, flute playing and many others!

Streets of Westport, MO

Enjoy 150 of KC’s best artists & craftsman who take over Westport’s streets! You can check out traditional art, jewelry, crafts, handmade goods & more. This is the 40th year of the arts festival, so it has grown to be a huge Kansas City Fall festival. 

This is only local artists, so be sure to come out & support the community!

 

Latino Arts Festival

Saturday, September 7th – Noon to 6 pm

Bethanny Park: Central Ave & N 12th St. Kansas City, Kansas 

This fall art festival is free to everyone, so come out & support 16 local artists who will be creating & selling their work at booths! 

There will also be a low-rider car show, a hop contest & live entertainment through out the event. Enjoy an afternoon of music & art at the park…& maybe find new art while you’re there. 

 

Kansas State Fair

September 6th to 15th – times vary by day

2000 N Poplar St, Hutchinson, KS 

This state fair is definitely worth the drive! There will be countless kids activities, carnival rides & games, demonstrations, farm animals, live music & other entertainment…you name it, the fair has it! Explore a full list of fair events online. 

There is even a train kids can ride during the fair…

The cost is $10 for adults, $6 for children 6 to 12 years old & seniors (60+), $4 for military and FREE for kids 5 & younger. You can purchase tickets online, as well as download the app!

 

Brush Creek Art Walk

September 13th to 15th

Blue Springs Fall Fun Festival

September 13th to 15th

Hallmarket

Don’t miss the 10th annual art festival by Hallmark! Explore tons of local artists at this FREE family event.

Fall Festival

This free family festival is filled with fun things to do with kids! 

Families can enjoy face painting, workshops on how to make peanut butter, horse riding & tons of other kids activities. 

 

Plaza Art Fair

September 20th through 22nd, 2019

This is the 88th annual art fair in Kansas City – 240+ artists will show off their work in the streets of The Country Club Plaza. 

This festival is nationally recognized, so you definitely don’t want to miss out! There will also be local bands, live music & kids activities

 

Old Fashioned Street Faire

The free event is a neighborhood festival to celebrate Waldo!

Liberty Fall Festival

September 27th to 29th – times vary by day

Downtown Liberty, MO

This is definitely one of the best family, Fall festivals in the Northland. Enjoy live music, carnival rides, 175+ vendors & places to shop and more local fun. 

So, bring the whole family out! There is something fun for everyone. 

 

Overland Park Fall Festival

September 28th – all day starting at 8 am

OP Farmer’s Market: 7950 Marty Street Overland Park, KS

Come enjoy the Overland Park Fall Festival, filled with fun activities! Parade starts at 10 am & live music includes Casi Joy, a contestant on The Voice that made a great run.

Enjoy the farmer’s market, face painting, fall parade, free concerts & live music, food trucks, interactive shows & tons of vendors & artsians. There will be three stages of music, so everyone can listen to music they love. 

 

Spring Hill Fall Festival

September 28th & 29th

City Park, Spring Hill, KS

Enjoy this 2 day festival, plus a Saturday morning parade through Spring Hill! If you like Fall, you’ll love this festival. There are tons of trees around for you to enjoy the fall leaves. 

There will be fun fall things to do like a quilt show, craft booth, live music & entertainment. There will also be a Sunday church services & a family fun run the second day of the fest. 

 

Louisburg CiderFest

September 28th & 29th – 8 am to 6 pm

October 5th & 6th – 8 am to 6 pm

This is a free Fall festival, so don’t miss out on the fun! All your favorite Fall classics will be there. You can enjoy donut-making, cider, inflatables, pony rides & tons of craft booths.

Gladfest

Friday, October 4th 5 to 10 pm; Saturday, October 5th 10 am to 10 pm; Sunday, October 7th Noon to 4 pm

Linden Square: Gladstone, MO

There will be live music on Friday and Saturday from Midnight Rodeo4 Fried Chickens and A Coke. Sunday only the carnival is open – no vendors. 

Come shop local vendors, eat, drink, ride carnival rides & play games at this year’s Fall festival in Gladstone. There will also be a Kids Corner to explore!

You can buy All You Can Ride bands, so you can ride all night long too.

 

WaterFire KC Festival

October 5th – 7 pm to 11 pm

Frank Theis Park: Kansas City, MO

This free event is sure to be a blast! There will be live performances from 7 pm to 10 pm, with bonfires continuing for another hour after. It will be near the Country Club Plaza, featruing Brush Creek as the backdrop. 

There will be music, dance & other visual art installations, so come see the creative work of Kansas City artists!

 

Shoal Creek Harvest Festival

October 5th – 10 am to 4 pm

Shoal Creek Living History Museum: 7000 Northeast Barry Road Kansas City, MO 

This Fall festival is $5 per person (age 5 and under free)

Old time fun like puppet shows, music, kettle corn, pony rides, pumpkins, historical games & reenactments will all be included in this year’s festivities. Take your family back in time!

 

Weston Apple Festival

October 5th & 6th – Saturday 10 am to 6 pm, Sunday 11 am to 5 pm

| Parade at 10am on Saturday

Applefest is a free event for kids 15 & younger. If you are over 15, a $1 donation is suggested. 

This is the 31st year, so this is definitely a traditional Fall festival in Missouri!

There will be a parade Saturday morning at 10 am, as well as many other activities, booths & demonstrations. See classic cars, fire trucks, marching bands, tractors & other floats during the parade. Then, explore the 50+ booths on Main St. The shops will also be open. You can also watch hay bales be made, apples be pressed for cider & see the process of apple butter!

Kids activities are also included – face painting, pony rides, pumpkin art painting & other things to do.

 

Scarecrow Festival

October 5th – 9:30 to 11:30 am

Downtown Shawnee, KS

Walk around Johnson Drive & City Hall to see many scarecrow decorations from locals! There will also be free art stations to decorate scarecrows & pumpkins. 

Don’t miss the baking competition – fruit pie, pumpkin pie & pumpkin bread are all categories. 

 

44th Annual Arts, Crafts & Music Festival

October 5th & 6th (Sat: 10 am to 5 pm, Sun: 11 am to 5 pm)

Missouri Town 1855: 8010 E. Park Road Lee’s Summit, MO 

Come enjoy fall activities, music, craft booths, artisans & other skilled interpreters during this classic fall event. There will also be live music from the time period, games, a hay wagon ride & yummy food. 

The cost is $10 per car. They ask you do not bring your pets. 

 

Excelsior Springs Oktoberfest & Fall Festival

October 5th – 11 am to 5 pm 

Broadway St. Downtown Excelsior Springs, MO

Free Fall festival for you to enjoy pumpkins, the leaves changing, arts & crafts booths, barrel rolls, bed racing & other unique fall activities!

 

Johnson County Old Settlers Festival

October 5th to 7th – times vary by day

This is a Fall tradition in if you live in Kansas. There will be live music throughout the event, with the show beginning at 7:30 each night. Friday, Foghat will perform & Saturday will be John Michael Montgomery. 

Explore tons of vendors & booths, the auto show, live music, games, activities & carnival rides/games. You can purchase an all-you-can-ride band for $28, which is good from 5 to 10 pm on the day of purchase. 

They ask that no pets be brought into the event. 

 

Lenexa Chili Challenge & Fest

October 11th & 12th (Fri: 6 to 10 pm, Sat: 10 am to 3:30 pm)

Santa Fe Trail Drive & Pflumm Rd. Lenexa, KS

This is a free event where you can enjoy yummy chili – what’s a better fall meal than chili? It’s so warm & delicious!

Free samples Saturday while supplies last.

 

Wild West Days

October 12th & 13 – (Sat: 10 am to 4 am, Sun: 11 am to 4 pm)

Mahffie Stagecoach Stop & Farm: 1200 E. Kansas City Road, Olathe, KS 

This Fall event is $5 per person, kids 4 & under are free. Cook off is Saturday only & The Fiesta Mexicana Dancers are Sunday only. 

Enjoy kids activities like 1800s games, stagecoach rides, live performances, visiting animals, living history shows, cowboy shows & more. Some activities & food booths are cash only. 

 

Mission Sunflower Festival

October 12th – 10 am to 9 am

5600 Johnson Dr, Mission, KS 

The day will be filled with fun at the sunflower festival! Enjoy all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast for $5, games, food trucks, live music, parade, car show, bingo tent, pop-up booths & more activities. 

 

Cornucopia Fall Festival

Saturday, October 12th 🎃 10 am – 8 pm

Power & Light District: Kansas City, MO

This will be one of the best Fall events in Kansas City this year! You can enjoy tons of kids activities, live music & entertainment, Fall food & drink tastings, pumpkins, art displays, pony rides, s’mores, food trucks & so much more. 

The Fall festival will be throughout the streets of PNL District, with some of the streets being blocked off. It is expected to be a big event, filled with tons of fun fall things to do…caramel apples, kettle corn, funnel cake & s’mores. What’s more Fall than that?

 

Weston Irish Festival

October 11th to 13th – times pending

O’Malley’s Pub: 500 Welt St. Weston, MO 

This 3-day Irish festival is sure to have you feeling the Fall vibes. It will be the 19th year of the festival, offering a wide-variety of ways to enjoy the event. 

Camp near the festival or drive our for the day. Then, enjoy live Irish music from many performers. It is a small-town feel, with a growing crowd each year, so be sure to come out & see what’s it all about. 

 

Lansing Fall Festival

Saturday, October 12th – 10 am to 3 pm

900 Ida St, Lansing, KS 66043

The autumn festival will include live music throughout the day, as well as many kids activities; face painting, balloon art, Fall Fun zone, train rides, Katy the unicorn, bounce house, pumpkin crafts & a petting zoo. You will have fun things to do all day. 

Magicians, artists, a caricature artist & other performers will also be there. 

 

Summit Art Festival

October 11th to 13th – times vary by day

Downtown Lee’s Summit, MO

Enjoy the Fall weather at this free event. This is the 12th annual art fair, featuring over 100 artist exhibits & booths. There is so much to see!

 

Bounce-toberfest at City Market

Saturday, October 20th

4:00 to 8:00 pm

City Market in Downtown KC: 20 E 5th St, Kansas City, Missouri 64106

Come bounce around with Giggles-n-Jiggles Family Fun Center & other local businesses in honor of Zach Pearce. There will be all day jump passes available for $12 or single jumps for $3. There will also be other fun things to do like a Beer Garden, yard games, fire spinners, henna artists, face painting, a pumpkin patch & more fall fun.

 

Dogtober Fest

Saturday, October 20th – 10 am to 4 pm

Kemper Outdoor Education Center: 8201 S Jasper Bell Rd. Blue Springs, MO

Explore nearly 100 booths, dog demonstrations & skills workshops, games, contests, competitions, clinic & animal adoption booths. You can learn so much at this event! Find more details about what games, clinics & workshops will be available…there are too many to list. 

It is free admission with a dog food donation, so be sure to bring you dog food. Also, dress your dog up to the Halloween costume contest for dogs! 

 

Fall Family Fun Fest

Saturday, October 20th

10:00 am to 6:00 pm

This all-day event will have tons of things to do for kids. There will be a kids zone featuring bounce houses, face-painting, and a slew of games! You can also enjoy yummy food trucks and 50+ vendors selling handbags, jewelry, clothing and more!

This event is free and there will be security present.

Come trunk or treat with your kiddos at The Hope Center’s Fall Hope Fest. There will be free food & games for everyone to enjoy. This is sure to be a fun thing to do with your kids…especially to get in the Halloween spirit.

Please bring a basket or bag for treats if you cannot bring your car!

 

Harvest Festival at Grandview Amphitheater

Thursday, October 31st

This Halloween event for kids will be filled with fun things to do – inflatables, pony rides & a petting zoo, trunk or treating & tons more fun!

Admission to the event is 1 unopened can of food per child. 

 

Parkville Days Festival

Parkville, MO

This family-friendly event is filled with kids activities, including a carnival, live music, sales at local shops, arts & crafts, foods & many other booths!

The event is free to the public, located in downtown Parkville off S. Main Street. This is a new location for this year, so be sure to check where you’re going.
