Smokehouse Week Shawnee
Join us for a special week of smoked meats and seasonal foodways at Shawnee Town’s farmhouse! Staff and local experts will be demonstrating life as a 1920s farm family preparing for winter. The Smokehouse will be working hard at curing various meats, and we’ll have demonstrations of sausage-making, canning produce, and seasonal cooking in the farmhouse kitchen!
Demonstrations are included with general admission. As we are closed for the winter during this time, visitors will be only be able to tour the grounds during program hours. Check back later this year for a complete schedule of our featured activities!
